We landed in London Hethrow
and took the train downtown to Whitehall Hotel
behind the British Museum.
When we went walking that Sunday
we happened upon Saint Martin in the Fields
just in time to attend evensong worship there.
We spent most of Monday in The British Museum
before walking down to enjoy The National Gallery.
We wandered around University of London
before walking to Euston train station
and heading for Preston.
We drove to Lytham St Annes.
Custard pie and Manchester tart was great for lunch
near the beaches where the tides were WAY out.
Time to enjoy Lytham and St. Annes
after meeting at BAE.
Blackpool was interesting.
After Easyjet to Amsterdam
and an enjoyable train to Almelo with our new Dutch friend,
we settled into the home in Tubbergin with the Sklars.
Friday we relaxed in Giethoorn.
Saturday we met family in Leer and toured Ditzum,
the hometown of Jim's grandparents.
Back in Leer we visited, played, and feasted with family.
Sunday, Mothers Day, our brunch restaurant led to a water-mill.
Hans accompanied us to the Nuremberg conference and home again on the train.
Hunter was certainly on his vole and mouse game!
